Paolo is a resident artist at The White Whale Tattoo Society in Milano. His work sits between Fine Line and Minimal, and what holds it together is a particular cleanliness of line.

He came to tattooing from advertising graphics. That background shapes how he reads a design: the discipline of making an image work at any size, the editing instinct that removes everything a composition does not need.

A Minimal tattoo is not an empty one. It is a piece where every line has been argued for, and Paolo's training is in exactly that argument.

His Fine Line work carries the same logic. He tends to blend it with micro-realism: small passages of detail and tonal depth set against clean, deliberate outlines. The contrast is the point. A precise line doing structural work, and a quiet area of realism doing the rest. Nothing is loud, and nothing is filler.

For Paolo a piece begins with subtraction. The reference comes in, and the work is deciding what stays: the placement, the scale, the weight of each line on the body. What reaches the skin is the version that survived the editing.

Paolo takes bookings through Instagram. With work this pared back, the portfolio says more than a description can.
