Matteo Nangeroni is the founder of The White Whale Tattoo Society. He started tattooing in 2013 and spent the following years traveling for guest spots and tattoo conventions, building his experience by working in studios around the world before opening his own.
In 2018, he opened the first TWWTS with a simple idea: creating a studio shaped not only by the resident artists, but also by the international artists who visit and work there.
His tattoo style moves between Surrealism, Abstract and Blackwork, although he does not like strict labels. As the people often says: his style has no name, but you recognize it. His work is connected less by genre and more by a unique way of creating images, compositions, and ideas that feel both personal and unexpected.
This same vision shaped the studio itself. Matteo created much of the visual identity of TWWTS, and the way the studio looks and feels reflects the way he approaches tattooing.
Matteo works regularly at the Milano studio, although his availability is limited, so planning ahead is recommended.
