Matteo is our founder, the mind behind the whole concept, started to tattoo in 2013, he developed his own style and changing it constantly, doing surrealism and Blackwork, geometric and fineline, passing by ornamental and bold traditional. After years of guesting and conventions he had the idea to create a home, our first TWWTS back in September 2018, a sharing place where all cultures and experiences lives together and creates. His style has no name but we are sure you will recognize it always everywhere. Find him in our shop in Padova and once a month in our shop in Milano.

David discovered a love for drawing at a young age and dreamed of becoming a tattoo artist since high school. Specializing in fine line work, he constantly experiments to evolve his style. Joining The White Whale in March 2020 was a proud milestone for him, leading to countless positive experiences, from meeting talented artists to traveling abroad for work. Passionate about his craft, David wouldn’t trade it for anything else.

Edoardo is a talented tattoo artist specializing in surrealistic black and gray designs. Since joining TWWTS in 2022, he has made his mark with his unique and captivating style.

Edoardo’s work is all about distorting reality, blending 1950s-inspired portraits with bold shadow contrasts and delicate botanical elements. His designs have a way of pulling you in, creating a dreamlike world where nostalgia and nature collide.

Working between fine linework, realistic elements and ornamental detail, Myriam creates delicate, ethereal compositions.

Her work draws inspiration from antique florilegia, symbolic imagery and romantic aesthetics, blending softness and contrast with a subtle sense of melancholy.

Across both personal projects and custom pieces, her aim is to turn each tattoo into something intimate and quietly personal.

Fabio Pillon is a Milano-based artist working in Microrealism and Black and Grey Realism, with a focus on portraiture. Drawing and portraiture came before tattooing, and his work still reads like a drawing carried onto skin: strong contrast, soft shading, and close attention to faces, expressions, and texture.

His subjects range from portraits and film stills to Caravaggio, architecture, and botanical studies, often with a slightly melancholic tone. He keeps experimenting with technique, bringing the precision of traditional drawing into each piece.

Jonny’s practice is deeply influenced by classical art, reinterpreted through a minimal and contemporary visual language.

He works with form, balance, and reduction, distilling compositions to their essential lines, where every detail carries intention and space becomes an integral part of the design.

Matteo Ciampi is a Milano-based artist working in Black and Grey Realism and Microrealism, with a surreal turn. He trained at an art-focused high school in Tuscany, where he learned realist drawing and black and white portraiture before moving to tattooing. He went on to work across different media, and that range still shows in how he builds a composition.

His references come from Metaphysical painting, Surrealism, and religious iconography: Madonnas, classical sculpture, medieval demons, objects placed where they do not belong. The technique stays realistic; the scene does not. Every piece is drawn custom for the client, starting from their idea and the placement on the body.

Tela comes from the world of illustration and has spent the last decade drawing professionally, honing a distinctive artistic style. His work is defined by bold, clean black-and-white outlines and intricate hatching that adds depth and volume to each subject. Tela draws endless inspiration from the beauty of the natural world, creating stunning depictions of plants, flowers, and animals. Each piece is infused with a touch of surrealism, making his work both unique and memorable. With a passion for creativity and a love for nature, Tela continues to evolve his art while staying true to his signature style.

Alba is a Fine Line and Botanical Tattoo artist whose work is shaped by a unique blend of artistic, academic, and professional experiences.
After studying Literature, Philosophy, and Nursing Sciences, she built a career in the fashion industry, where she developed a strong aesthetic sensibility and attention to detail. Tattooing became the natural meeting point between her passions for art, medicine, and design.
Inspired by both Milano’s contemporary elegance and the natural beauty of her native Sicily, she creates delicate, timeless tattoos characterized by fine lines, botanical elements, and balanced compositions.
Each piece is designed as a personal and meaningful story, preserving memories, emotions, and identity through refined and lasting artistry.

Paolo is an artist who found his true passion in tattooing after studying advertising graphics.
He honed his skills alongside renowned artists, developing a style defined by fine, clean lines and a minimalist blend of fine line and micro-realism.
For him, tattooing is more than ink on skin - it’s a way to preserve emotions and stories. He sees each piece as an honor, with every line representing a fragment of the soul brought to life.

Verdiana works in small-scale Black and Grey Realism with a surreal turn. Her compositions put classical figures, everyday objects, and abstract marks in the same frame: a sculpted head inside a cube, a house rising from an open book, a torso held together by red thread. Red appears only as an accent.

Every project starts as a hand-drawn sketch, then moves to digital, where she develops and refines it. Each design is drawn custom from the client's story or idea.
